More Fiesta Days

On the 24th of July each year we attend the Fiesta Days parade with the Reids. This year all the cousins rode or walked beside the ambulance with Aunt Kris expect for our kids. They wanted to watch the parade and gather candy. It was kinda quiet with just our three.

After the parade we head to Grandma Reids for a barbecue and money dive.
Hudson and Kennedie collecting their money in the smaller pool.
Hudson decided he was bored with picking up change, so he decided that he was going to splash Kennedie instead. Here is a mid-air shot. He would jump up and land on his butt.

Maisy and Hudson counting their money.
Each kid averaged $4 to $5.
As we were leaving Grandma Reid's Hudson was running across the road to the car. Just as Travis told him to slow down he was going to fall, I hear a loud thud followed by screams. He hit the asphalt face first. As you can see he had a pretty good goose egg and scratch on his forehead and a cut on his upper lip.
We attended the Rodeo that night followed by the fireworks. We are all there somewhere in that crowd.

More Fun at the Reservoir

Travis wanted to take the kids fishing so we headed up to the reservoir. We invited Maridan and her girls to come along. The fishing was no good. There were too many people swimming to catch anything. Travis put on a pair of goggles and headed out into he water. After a few minutes he returned with a fish that he had caught with his bare hands. The kids were so excited and each one of them wanted to hold the fish he had caught. Needless to say we tortured a few fish that day being passed around and dropped in the sand. The kids sure had fun though!

Hudson is so much like his dad. He loves to tease and be teased. Travis and Hudson are having a water fight here and Hudson is loving every minute of it.
Aunt Maridan buried each one of the girls in the sand and turned them into mermaids. Their favorite part where the boobs she gave them.
Morgan decided that she wanted to try and catch a fish like her dad. Travis took her out to where there was a big school of fish and showed her how to do it.
Here she is trying to swim back without the use of her arms. She is holding the fish she so proudly caught. Travis is trying to give her a push back to shore.
Morgan's first fish caught with her bare hands. She is such a girly girl - NOT!

Fiesta Days 2009

Our family enjoys the festivities in Spanish Fork surrounding the 24th of July each year. We missed the children's parade and fish rodeo (family favorite) last Saturday due to the fact Travis's aunt passed away and we attended the funeral. On Tuesday of this week Travis played in the annual kick ball tournament (I forgot my camera). I have played a couple times in previous years and have decided that watching is a lot more fun and a lot less painful the next day. Last night we went to the stock parade and carnival with Maridan and her girls.

Aunt Maridan was a good sport and rode all of the rides with the girls.

Snake Charmer

There is absolutely NO fear of snakes in this boy.
(Just to be clear I am talking about Hudson, Travis is different story)

4th of July Weekend - San Juan

We took our first camping trip of the year to San Juan. It was a lot farther away than I had planned on (7 hrs). The kids could not wait to get out of the car and finally be at camp. We ran into Travis's brother Dallas and his family so we ended up camping together. The kids were excited to have cousins to play with.

Nothing better when camping then rock painting. You send the kids out to find rocks, some washable paint and they are entertained for hours.

Swim Meet #2

Morgan had her second swim meet last Saturday. Out of the four heats that she swam she placed in three of them. Not to bad. Morgan we are so proud of you.
