New Pictures

I had not taken my kids to get their pictures taken for over a year, so it was time. I think they turned out really cute. It was fun to compare their pictures to the ones from last year and see how much they have changed. I could not believe how grown up Morgan looks in these new pictures. It makes me sad. She is getting too old.

Happy 78th Birthday Mom!

I appreciate all that you do for me. I love you!

Last Camping Trip of the Summer

A couple of weekends ago we took our last camping trip of the summer. We went up Lake Fork with Paul, Carolyn, Maridan and her girls. Our kids had fun as usual playing with their cousins. They played in the creek, made mud pies, ate marshmallows, rode four wheelers, got dirty and got dirty some more. I hate to see summer end.

What a cutie!

Payson Canyon - Grotto

We invited Aunt Maridan and her girls to hike to the waterfall up Payson Canyon with us. I have not been there since Travis and I were dating and my girls had never been there. The girls had fun hiking together. When we got to the waterfall it was too cold to swim, so we were not there long. The girls wanted to hike down the creek on the way back so Maridan, Hudson and I followed along on the trail. About half way down the girls were too cold to be in the water all together and got out. As we were hiking down the trail they decided to have a competition to see who could collect the most empty snail shells. Maridan and I sat on a log for 30 to 45 mins waiting for them to fill their empty Gatorade bottles with shells. They had more fun finding shells on the mountain side then they did anything else. Maridan now has a snail necklace that she wears proudly around her neck. What a fun memory.

Saturday with the Reids

July 25th we went to Salt Lake with the Reids. Travis was not able to go as he was on call for work. We had so much fun. First we went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. It was so beautiful and the kids really enjoyed asking questions and being able to see each room of the temple. We all went to lunch after and then to the Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy. The kids loved the aquarium. We spent about three hours there. The best part was that Hudson slept for the whole three hours. I felt bad that he was not able to see all the fun exhibits, but I was sure glad I was not trying to wrestle him.
As you can see Hudson had to be the center of attention. The families waiting to take their pictures thought he was quiet comical.

Maisy trying to touch the stingray without falling in.
Morgan accidentally touched the stingrays eye which it was not very happy about. It came up on the side of the pool and splashed the whole front of Morgan's shirt. It scared her soooo bad. She started screaming and running for me. It was very funny! This is the very tire little boy that slept for over three hours. I got him out of the car into the stroller, out of the stroller back in to the car and he never opened his eyes. Now that is tired.
