Spring Ride

Sunday we decided was a perfect day to take a ride. We have not been on one for a long time since the girls do not love being in the car, enjoying the scenery as much as Travis and I do. Hudson he is just along for the ride. We packed up some treats and the girls got some activities to do in the car and we were off. The weather was beautiful. We ended up going through Huntington Canyon. We stopped at the Crandall Canyon Mine to show the girls the monument were the eight men died trapped inside the coal mine. (Travis worked in a coal mine for about 7 years when we were first married.) It was a neat experience. I recommend going to see it for yourself. Our ride turned out to be 6 1/2 hrs long, maybe that is why our girls hate going with us. We could have been half way to Disneyland.
This is the monument at the actual mine site. You have to hike about 1/4 mile to get to it.

Hey Rusty! What a fun outing! I'm glad you snuck into one of the pictures - it's been so long since I've seen you! You and your family are just the cutest. Hope everything's going well.
